So far, UpCandle has donated over 2,500 candles and diverted 2,500 kg of containers from landfills. This means that thousands of once-forgotten candle containers have been given a new purpose, all while keeping them out of the waste stream and minimising environmental impact.

Partnering with ReLove: Empowering Families Starting Fresh

One of our proudest collaborations has been with ReLove, an organisation dedicated to providing home furnishings for people in need. Every week, ReLove helps 25 families who are moving into new homes, often after facing difficult circumstances such as homelessness, domestic violence, or other life challenges. As part of their home furnishing packages, ReLove includes UpCandle donations — bringing not only essential items but also a sense of warmth and comfort to these families.

Another heartwarming impact of UpCandle has been our partnership with the Northern Beaches Women’s Shelter. This organisation provides vital support to women and children escaping domestic violence. When women move into a new home, often with little to no belongings, UpCandle helps to make their new space feel like their own by gifting them a candle.
